The Pet Spa & Resort
General FAQ
What do you accept for payment?
We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards except Discover cards.
What vaccinations do you require?
All guests must have proof of vaccinations for Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies from a veterinary office in order to be a guest at The Pet Spa. Canine Influenza is strongly recommended.
May I use my Prong collar at drop off?
You may use any collar or leash combo that keeps your dog under control; however a nylon/snap collar is the most efficient for our staff. Prong collars and harnesses cannot be left on while in our care.
May I bring my dog if they are unaltered/intact?
While we do accept intact dogs, we will not accept any females while they are in heat. All dogs must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age in order to participate in social play.
Do you accept dogs of all ages?
Our facility is a social and active environment which may not be appropriate for older guests or guests who are medically compromised. We do not accept guests over the age of 12. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of management.
What if my dog is not dog friendly?
As long as your dog is friendly with people, they are welcome. Our facility is set up to allow us to cater to non-dog friendly guests. Please ask a team member for details.
What happens if I can’t make it to pick up my dog before you close?
Your dog will be accommodated comfortably in a private room at our overnight rate. You can pick your dog up the next day during hours of operation.
Daycare FAQ
What do I need to start bringing my dog to daycare?
To start bringing your dog to daycare you will need to set up a pet parent profile by clicking the Book Now button at the top of the page. Proof of vaccinations for Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies is required, and Canine Influenza is strongly recommended. All dogs must complete an evaluation day to ensure they are appropriate for group play.
Do I need to call ahead before dropping my dog off for daycare?
After your dog has passed the evaluation, we do not require reservations for daycare. However, to ensure a spot during our peak seasons give us a call or schedule through your pet parent portal.
May I bring a meal or treats with my dog for daycare?
We discourage bringing food or treats for a daycare day. Please feed your dog at least an hour before arriving to daycare to ensure their stomach is settled.
How long is my dog actually playing during a day of daycare?
We strive to give our daycare guests a healthy balance of exercise and rest during daycare. We balance their day with social play groups and intermittent rest time throughout the day.
How big are the resting pens that my dog relaxes in during the day?
All dogs, regardless of size, are provided with ample room to stretch out and get ‘comfy & cozy’. We would be happy to show you our accommodations.
Boarding FAQ
Do you require an evaluation?
All dogs require an evaluation prior to being accepted for boarding. An evaluation day is essentially a free day for your dog to get to know us and our facility. This day can be scheduled after completing your pet parent profile and providing proof of vaccination. Please be prepared to leave your dog with us for a minimum of 4 hours.
What time is drop off and pick up?
Boarding drop off is from 9AM-4PM. If you need to drop off outside of these hours, we offer early/late drop off for a fee. Our hours of operation are 7AM-6PM Monday through Friday, and 9am to 6p on Saturday and Sunday. We kindly ask if you plan on dropping your pup off after 4PM that you feed them dinner before arrival.
Check-out is by 2PM. Much like a hotel, we require time to clean sanitize, and set up the room for the next guest. Late checkout is available when available for a fee.
What should I bring when dropping my dog off to board?
As per our cleaning protocol, we do not accept any outside bedding, blankets, bowls or toys. We provide everything your dog will need to be comfortable during their stay. We do encourage you to bring your dog’s own food, however, we have a house food of Purina One EN that they can enjoy during the stay.
Before Arrival:

What if my pet needs medication?
The Pet Spa is happy to administer any oral or topical medications or supplements. Unfortunately, we do not administer any injections. Please bring all the medications in their original bottle with original prescription labels. Do not put medication in food or treats. We recommend bringing only the amount of medication required for the stay. You may bring a few extra in case of an unexpected extended stay.
